Historian Dennis Picard will describe and demonstrate the ice harvesting trade which by the 1890s was the 9th largest industry in the United States.
He will share the tale of this once massive enterprise, including Pelham’s participation. He will display some antique tools of that trade and invite interested attendees to handle some of them.
